CSS and CARP Design

After

In this project we started out with a boring website with a poem on it. We put it in dreamweaver and had to redesign it using CSS. By the end there was more color, variety in fonts, placement of words was more appealing, and the whole website was more enjoyable to read. To make this all happen we had to edit it of course, but all the changes took place in the coding, thats what actually made the change happen.

Before

CONTRAST

We changed all the colors and matched them with the dogs fur. We made the title a larger and more appealing font. we also added text at the top to get back to the last website.

ALLIGNMENT

We made the words line up and not stick out. to do this we had to move the picture of the dog to of the way so we had it hang off the edge of the screen to give the website a more modern feel.

REPETITION

The only thing that repeats in this website is the body paragraph and even the first paragraph in that s a different font. We did not use to much repetition in this website because it is a poem and we need to make it as interesting as possible.

Proximity

The poem is kept close together but the rest is pretty spread out to keep your eyes moving. the dog is on the side so it isn't constantly drawing attention away from the work but it is still there if you want to see it. The title and other information is at the top so you read it before being done with the poem and leaving the site.

What did I learn

I learned hoe to use selectors and properties better during this project. that can help me edit things quicker in the future if needed. I also learned how to bring up the properties bar and the difference between CSS and HTML.
