Quarter 4 reflection

Q4 Project

         For our fourth quarter project we were put in groups based on our personalities so that we could have diversity to help us appeal to many people and have different levels of expertise. We then had to come up with a hypothetical project that we would have to make a commercial, website, animation, and graphic design for. It took 8 weeks in total to complete all the assignments listed before. Some challenges were remembering how to work in the code of the website and embed videos and animations but through the project I learned how to do that and have a solid understanding on the basics of web design now which I struggled with before. Some feedback I was given was that our audience interaction was good so now I know to use that if I present a product in the future. One thing I had to change was my video because it did not save into my google drive correctly and I had to restart it without access to some of the clips and audio. Overall, fourth quarter was challenging but the experience of having our own shark tank was fun.

          In class I completed all of my animations videos and the website in class. If I did finish early I showed my team members and they agreed, but after that I did not do much to besides the third rotation when I worked on the website. I did try to critic my project but some stuff I wanted to change I did not know how to do. Outside of class I did watch one video on how to Make some edits in video  like adding special effects but I had already turned in my video so I didn't use them.

         In e-comm I feel like my strength is not that I excel in one area but that I have a good understanding and use of all areas. This can help in projects like this where you have to complete multiple things in multiple areas. This does make it hard to decide what I would like to do next year though.
   
        I feel like I could improve in editing video like making better cuts and deciding what clips to use and not to use. I also could use a recap on somethings in animation since its been so long since I've used it. In graphic design I would like to have a better vision for what to create but I don't think that is something you can work on. Overall, I feel well rounded but there is need for improvement all around.
       
        This quarter I loved that we worked in groups throughout the whole thing for feedback and good times. Something I would change is the product because recording a video for it was very hard. I learned a lot about web design this quarter and was refreshed on how to do some things in video, graphic design, and animation. Next year I would like to learn how to add special effects to videos like explosions, special lighting, and stuff like buildings breaking down. In conclusion, this year was fun, challenging, and informational and I am excited for what next year holds in store for us to learn.
